PIERRE, S.D. (12/10/12014) – Eight communities and an energy company will join the South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) in promoting South Dakota at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 20-23, 2015.
“As South Dakota’s SHOT industry continues to grow, the SHOT Show is a great outlet for us and our co-op partners to showcase the benefits of doing business here,” said Gov. Dennis Daugaard. “It’s one of our most successful trade shows – which is why we continue to attend the event after 13 years.”
Representatives from Aberdeen, Black Hills Power, Britton/Glacial Lakes Area Development, Huron, Madison, Pierre, Sturgis, Vermillion and Yankton will be located at booth 2950.
“The firearms industry is a major economic driver for our area,” said Pat Kurtenbach, President, Sturgis Economic Development Corp (SEDC). “For more than 15 years, the SHOT Show has proven to be an ideal venue for generating new business leads. It has also provided many networking opportunities to strengthen our existing companies. The SEDC is proud to partner again with the GOED to promote South Dakota’s business-friendly climate, as well as our established firearms industry.”
The SHOT Show attracts businesses from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, and is the largest show of its kind.
